It's always so awkward when people approach me after reading September's Child, "Bring On The Rain," with " I am so sorry you had such a rough life." Though I very much appreciate your concern for me, sympathy was, and still is not the purpose of either of my books.

“Bring On The Rain” is the true story of one woman’s journey through a life of hardship and disappointments, due to being subjected to the same kind of life as a child. Having very little to no motherly guidance at an early age, Eva placed it in her head that she had no mother. She was the product of the month she was born (September). Eva became September’s Child! No one claimed Eva. There was no mommy to say, “This is my daughter!” Eva was very often introduced as the adopted daughter, making her feel even less wanted.

Definitely worth reading after "Tuesday's Child". It was enlightening to find out what happened to Eva as an adult. How her abusive childhood affected her not only emotionally but what choices she made.
On personal level even though I disagreed with the abuse/discipline behavior I gained a clearer understanding. I was married to an abusive child and this was a big issue. My spouse won out on these principles of raising our child. I realised a parent who came from an abusive (physically) childhood could not separate abuse and discipline. In for ultimately the child turned out very similar to some of Eva's children. My point here is by reading her book I was able to get a clearer understanding. Maybe without feeling the guilt and anger? Because I was looking at the whole situation objectively. I was not personally involved.
Thank you for truthfully writing your continued story!

I received this book from the author herself and I thank you. This book moved very quickly. I'm certainly happy to hear that she had met the love of her life in Jimmy. So sad that her children grew up to struggle with their own lives. Sometimes, breaking the cycle of abuse goes through several generations before ending. Hopefully, the grandchildren will be able to stop it. Blessings
It was not what l thought it would be. I was disappointed. I had to wait on the book, l expected better.
Not good but not bad. This book is just an accounting of the highlights of her life. The details are not really given, and there is no dialog.
enjoyed it I hope her kids get better and her husband overcomes
Inspiring story!!
I just loved this book and could not put it down until I read the whole thing. I went through all the spectrum of emotions!!
I love the books that you write! It realm gives the reader an insight to what goes on behind close doors sometimes! Also, it shows that not everyone is fit to be adoptive parents!
Another must read...I cried in this book over her heart brokeness with her babies....again the *system *is still broken...I know because I was a *foster * parent..I can't have a child in my home and not love it......my one mistake
